This DBB (Tu,8/24, 2P) Branded Content @ TBS — Angela Gomes, Writer & Director

I've said it before — there are a lot of perks in teaching, but none of them compare to seeing a former student doing cool/great things.  Our first Digital Brown Bag guest for the semester (Tu, 8/24. 2:00P, Visual Arts Room 117) is Angela Gomes, a successful alum that UGA is really proud of.  Angela (formerly Barnes) is currently working writing and directing two branded content "microseries" for TBS: "Gillian in Georgia" (www.tbs.com/shows/gillianingeorgia) and "My Manny" (www.tbs.com/shows/mymanny).  Branded content is an advertising trend that is gaining traction and The New York Times just did an article on how companies are creatively using it (http://nyti.ms/cvbwIp).  Come hear Angela's insider perspective on this developing trend.
