To use BlockSite, search for BlockSite in Google. Click on the first link. Click add to Firefox. Choose to install the add-on. Restart Firefox. Click on the Tools menu, then Add-Ons, under BlockSite click Preferences, Click Add, type in the URL you want to block, Click OK, and now you can focus in class without distraction! To turn BlockSite off, just go to Tools, Add-Ons, BlockSite Preferences, Click the URL you blocked, then click Remove. Click OK and now you can get right back to Facebook Stalking!
To use GoogleDocs, open your Gmail account. In the upper left corner, click on the Documents link. GoogleDocs will open, click on New to start a new document. To share it with classmates, click Share then Share with Others. Add their email addresses as collaborators and invite them. And ta-da, you've got a document you can all access from any computer!
When you're ready to study, just open system preferences, click on Speech, check the "Speak selected text" button. Click Set Key... Hold the keys Command, Shift, and S at the same time. Click OK, and then open your notes in Word. Highlight the text you want to hear, then press Command Shift and S. Then sit back and relax as your computer reads for you!
