Establishing ethos for a Web site will build credibility. Communicating credibility is essential to any successful Web site. The creator wants his or her visitors to come back repeatedly; establishing credibility is one way to do this!
Constantly updating the site is necessary. For more details on how to make a Web site look good, visit our section entitled Appearances.
Credible Web sites should also provide a “Contact us” section. Try to include an address, email address, phone number, and/or fax number.
Web sites often include testimonials from current customers or members by providing a commenting section on the site in order to maintain credibility. This allows visitors to give feedback. Feedback is good for the creator, too; he or she will be able to figure out the site’s strengths and weaknesses. Doing so will also create a trust with visitors by allowing their thoughts and ideas be posted up on your site somewhere.
